- German roach: small, indoor, fastest reproducer (egg case carries 30–40 nymphs).
- American roach: large, drain and sewer associated.
- Oriental & Smokybrown: outdoor → indoor invaders, love mulch and woodpiles.
Habitat
- Behind/under appliances, in dishwasher motors, microwaves.
- Cracks behind cabinets, under sinks, in voids.
- Sewer lines, drains, garage corners, attics.
Behavior
- Strictly nocturnal — daytime sightings = heavy infestation.
- Eat almost anything organic: food, glue, hair, paper.
- Develop resistance to over-the-counter sprays quickly.
