About the Pest

German, American, Oriental, and Smokybrown cockroaches all thrive in Texas. They reproduce explosively and can survive almost anything you throw at them — except the right professional plan.

Cockroach Sanitation

Subject Profile

  • German roach: small, indoor, fastest reproducer (egg case carries 30–40 nymphs).
  • American roach: large, drain and sewer associated.
  • Oriental & Smokybrown: outdoor → indoor invaders, love mulch and woodpiles.

Habitat

  • Behind/under appliances, in dishwasher motors, microwaves.
  • Cracks behind cabinets, under sinks, in voids.
  • Sewer lines, drains, garage corners, attics.

Behavior

  • Strictly nocturnal — daytime sightings = heavy infestation.
  • Eat almost anything organic: food, glue, hair, paper.
  • Develop resistance to over-the-counter sprays quickly.
