Warning Signs

  • Pets scratching, chewing, or losing fur on hindquarters.
  • Flea dirt (black specks) in pet bedding.
  • Bites around your ankles after walking through carpet or grass.

Health Risks

  • Lyme disease, ehrlichiosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever.
  • Tapeworms in pets from ingested fleas.
